There are few West End productions as tenacious as Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘The Phantom of the Opera’. Having warbled its way through three decades, ‘Phantom’ is the world’s second longest-running musical (after ‘Les Misérables’) and is still going strong at Her Majesty’s Theatre, where it premiered in 1986. The production’s latest leading man, Marcus Lovett, smuggles Time Out backstage, taking us on a tour through his dressing room and key pieces of the set, before donning the iconic Phantom costume and hitting the stage.
